Breast self exam: A clear nipple discharge is not something to worry about.It is normal gland secretions.Worry about a bloody or milky discharge or new masses or thickening on self exam.Tenderness can be due to several things including trauma and fibrocystic breast change.The fibrocystic breast changes are normal, occur in 90% of women by age 40, and are aggravated (made more pronounced) by caffeine.Keep examining
