I would : do some more observation or volunteer work before jumping into medicine. The surgery is an aspect of medicine but a lot goes into it before the surgeries start. Explore all the opportunities in medicine. From doctor on down. Spend time in all areas. Then make the decision. It's a great field but it's a long haul to get there as well. Good luck
