Otitis externa: If you are not sure of the problem, I would advise you see an ENT doctor for an exam. If you think it is wax, you could try carbamide peroxide ear drops OTC to soften and dissolve the wax. Murine sells an ear syringe solution you could try. Other than that, the pain symptom is of concern which suggests you should see an MD before it gets worse.
