Probably not: Tongue? Probably not- herpes viruses usually will show themselves as blisters or vesicles at some point in the infection. You may be having issues with irritation of the taste buds. Spicy or acidic foods are direct irritants. See your dentist for a good oral exam to make sure there are no other issues.
