I had a routine urine test which detected blood. it was then sent off so the urine could be cultured. can this culture come back negative if there is?

No worries: It is common to see blood present on the urinalysis test as part of a urinary tract infection. The urine culture will confirm the presence of bacteria. If the culture is negative, you GP could order further tests if you are still experiencing symptoms.
