2? UTI and pregnancy: So you have white blood cells (that's what Leukocyte esterase measures) in your urine. That's abnormal no matter the circumstance and assuming the urine you collected wasn't contaminated with vaginal secretions. Nitrate is present only with certain bacterial species, particularly E. coli. So you have a different bug. And you are late for your period. In this case, I suggest you see a doctor today.
