Fiber: Lettuce has fiber so I would presume it would end up in your stool. If there is more concern seeing a gastroenterologist would be my suggestion.

Possibly the fiber: Patients who get diarrhea after eating lettuce may be just be sensitive to the non-digestible fiber in lettuce, which can promote a bowel movement. But if a food causes itching, hives, swelling of lips, tongue or throat in addition to diarrhea it's likely an allergy. Patients allergic to various pollen often get oral allergy symptoms when biting into certain fruits that share similar proteins.
