Rare but possible: Birth control isn't perfect but it's rather effective. If you take your birth control religiously, there is a less than a 1% failure rate. Even if you take it suboptimally, there is at worst a 9% failure rate(not great but not terrible). So while pregnancy is a possibility it's still somewhat unlikely. You should still be vigilant about safe sex practices as you still need STD protection.
