A member asked:

I have small bumps on my hymen i think on the opening of the vagina , not painful just really itchy and uncomfortable?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Vaginitis?: Your hymen shouldn't make you itch. But since that is the case, you may be having vaginitis - inflammation of your vagina. This is commonly caused by yeast infection (also called monilia, or candida), usually worse near your menstrual period, with milky or cheesy discharge. Douching is also a common problem - the preparations cause chemical irritation. Check with your doctor. Hope that helps.
