Rule out dvt: You need to make sure you don't have a blood clot in this leg. Go to the doctor or ER and they should order a doppler ultrasound. This can be a serious condition. It needs evaluation. It can also be something less serious such as a baker's cyst.

Leg pain: Please see your physician for exam and ultrasound ASAP to rule out deep venous thrombosis, especially if swelling starts. If it not exercise-related or injury-related, DVT goes to the top of my list as well as peripheral vascular disease.
