Any sutures?: After delivery did you need to have any sutures in your vagina to repair lacerations? If so, the length of time recommended to wait before having vaginal intercourse is 6 weeks. Depending upon how severe the bleeding is, you may need emergency evaluation to repair injuries. I have seen this happen postpartum where an artery was severed. Or you may have minor tears. Call your OB for advice, be well

Period: Sounds like you had a period since you had a baby one month ago. Menstrual irregularity in breast-feeding is normal

Postpartem Bleeding: Your body has been through alot. Your hormones are crazy. It is typically suggested that you do not have sex for 6 weeks post partem. The number of reasons you could be bleeding are many but very few are in any way serious. If it is a minimal amount of bleeding and there is no pain it is probably nothing serious. If it is alot or painful or you have foul smelling discharge see your MD promptly
