i am a nursing mom of a one year old on my first period since giving birth. i'm having excessive bleeding during my period, both an ultra tampon and super pad are completely saturated every hour for the last two days. should i contact my dr?

Heavy menses: Yes, please contact your doctor regarding this heavy bleeding. While menses can be different and heavier with breast feeding, it is not safe for a woman to bleed this heavily for a prolonged period of time.
