It is possible: If you miss one day, taking it as soon as you remember then continuing on schedule does not significantly increase the risk of pregnancy. Missing two pills in a row does increase that risk. You should use an alternate form of birth control in addition ti the pills for the remainder of the month, e g. condoms or a diaphragm.
