Not uncommon: Depo Provera (medroxyprogesterone) injections can cause very irregular periods. After you have been on the Depo for 4-6 months you will probably stop having periods completely but the irregular bleeding is not at all uncommon especially in the first few months. If you are bleeding heavily see your doctor for a blood test to make sure you are not becoming anemic.
