A member asked:

Can a uti or kidney infection cause vaginal bleeding?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

UTI and bleeding: A UTI can cause blood in the urine, due irritation of the bladder, but not vaginal bleeding. If the blood is only visible with urination, it could be the bladder. Kidney or urinary tract stones can also cause blood in the urine. If you are having vaginal bleeding, like a period, that flows while you are not urinating, then it would not be related to UTI.
