This is expected: Even though you are not meant to have a period, bleeding and spotting is common when taking the mini (progesterone only oral contraceptive) pill, especially in the first few months. Also it is likely if you miss taking one or more pills. Continue taking them on schedule. If you miss taking any pills, use a back-up method of contraception for at least 2 weeks.
