Talk with Eye doctor: Discussed all your concerns with your eye doctor. Make sure you know that you are concerned about your vision in the right eye. They should let you know if there are any other alternatives to surgery or if you need it now. If not satisfied with that answer get a second opinion from another eye physician.

Vision(VA), Cataract: Loss of near VA can be from: aging (presbyopia), cataracts, trauma. Cataract surgery (CS) has benefits & risks (rare but possible: loss of best VA, infection, loss of eye, etc). When VA worse than 20/40, usually benefits outweigh risks & surgery is indicated. New generation premium lenses allow for better near, intermediate, reading VA. More info: eyeyedoc2020.blogspot
