Plantar fasciitis: Plantar fasciitis is not always the heel. The plantar fascial ligament runs from the heel bone(calcaneous) to the toes and is almost as wide as the entire bottom of the foot. Most of the time plantar fasciitis pain is in the heel, but can present in the ball of the foot are arch too.
