how to tell if child isn't contagious from hfm?

1 doctor answer
Dr. Melissa Gowans
20 years experience Pediatrics
HFM: People with HFM are most contagious within the first week of illness. However, they can continue to be contagious for days to even weeks after symptoms resolve. Utilizing scrupulous hand washing and other hygiene interventions to prevent spread to minimize chance of viral spread.
