Fast heart rate: You also asked about carvedilol. Tachycardia is heart rate higher than expected. Before giving you medications your doctor will find out other reasons for fast heart rate: stress, stimulants like coffee or decongestants, anemia, thyroid status, dehydration, fever, infections, lack of physical fitness, etc
