Maybe : you should have spoken to your physician about your questions/concerns prior to him performing the procedure. InterStim is a sacral neuromodulator made by Medtronic. Your physician should have explained why he was placing the stimulator and what to expect. Remember you can always contact him, he'd be in a better position to answer your questions than the docs on this forum.

Interstim: The interstim lead is usually placed in the S3 foramen. There are two parts to this procedure. The first part is an evaluation or trial for a few days. If your symptoms improve then you can proceed to the permanent interstim implant.
