How much?: They usually provide a big wad of gauze to tightly clamp down on w/ instructions for when it can be relaxed (not removed) Also not to eat or drink - especially warm. Sometimes they suggest vitamin K for clotting. Call the dentist or go to an ER if it's more than a minor amount - try some vitamin K if you have any. Don't smoke or even eat and drink till it's stopped.

Bleeding: It's normal to have bloody gauze in the area, however, you shouldn't be having any kind of heavy bleeding by this time. If that's the case you need to call the doctor that did the extraction or go to the ER
