An Electrocardiogram: An ECG also known as ekg stands for an electrocardiogram, it is used to record the hearts electrical activity and may help to diagnose some cardiac disorders. Other abnormalities such as lowering of body temperature, increase or decrease of the bodies electrolytes such as magnesium, potassium and calcium can cause abnormalities of the ecg.
