Stressful: Symptoms of smoke inhalation usually occur immediately. And would be minor for someone standing that far away from the fire outside. If you were yelling, that could cause the throat symptoms. Another possibility is that you are coming down with an illness. We are currently seeing a lot of viral infections of the throat and upper respiratory tract. All of these should improve over a few days.

Fluids: You need plenty of water to flush your system. Also consider homeopathic ignatia which can improve symptoms worse form smoke. Consider calling your regular doctor for information as well. You may need to be seen.
