For you: try to stay below 140 / 90 . You may be able to do this by cutting salt intake , have an appropriate weight for your height. If you can not keep it under see your doctor.

Blood pressure: Presently true hypertension is defined as several blood pressures above the range of 140 mmHg(top/systolic) and above 90 mmHg(bottom/diastolic). Prehypertension, those who at risk for developing hypertension, is defined in the ranges of 120-139/80-89.
