A member asked:

What should i do about potential health emergency, drank 6 energy drinks, nearly blacked out. help!?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Go to ER/urgent care: These drinks mainly contain caffeine, which in high doses can cause rapid heartbeat, high blood pressure and cause dizziness, lightheadedness, heart arrhythmias and many other problems which can result in fainting or near-fainting. If you are still experiencing this, go to your doctor or urgent care/Emergency department. It is usually self-limited and goes away, but it can cause permanent harm.
