Geriatrician advice: Advice from Center for the Study of Aging at Duke University: 1) Laughter--is a way of coping & dealing with difficult situations & it has real clinical benefits; 2) Turn in early--sleep strengthens connections between brain cells & helps older adults process info more readily; 3) Get screened for heart disease, breast & colon cancer; 4) Get vaccinated for flu, shingles, tetanus.
