A member asked:

I'm pregnant and i feel my baby has too many hiccups can it be a sign of something being wrong?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hiccups usually okay: Some babies get a lot of hiccups during the final months of pregnancy and as newborns (and they look startling in a tiny newborn), but this is usually totally normal. So long as your baby's heartrate is normal when your doctor listens at your prenatal visits, i wouldn't worry. Anything that makes you gassy or gives you hiccups can also affect the baby - try limiting stress, caffiene & gassy foods.
