By sonogram: Nuchal translucency measurements are usually base on sonographic measurements of fetal crown rump length measurements giving a gestational age between 10 to 14 weeks. The cutoff is usually 14 weeks by sono. However, in a high risk population, the measurements remains fairly constant and may be done at any time.
