A member asked:

How much yeast can a women have in her vagina before it becomes a yeast infection?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Every lady different: Most if not all women have some yeast in the vagina. When there is an imbalance in the ph, hormones and the balance of bacteria naturally residing there, then an over growth of yeast can occur. This is considered a yeast infection when there are symptoms such as: thick white disharge, itching and /or burning.
