A member asked:

Is it medically possible to be pregnant and have no hcg levels? hgc less than 5 july 30, numerous home preg tests all negative in month of aug.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not likely.: Pregnancy usually produces HCG. This hormone forms the basis of the pregnancy test. If your Hcg is persistently negative then you are not pregnant. Note, in very early pregnancy the HCG levels may be very low and below the threshold for detection using the home pregnancy test.
