Allergic reactions: Many allergic reactions are effectively minimized by oral Benedryl. People with known severe allergies characterized by facial swelling, difficulty swallowing, respiratory distress and general body swelling should be evaluated in the ER ASAP. People with a tendency towards these types of reactions should have allergy testing and a prescription for an Epi-Pen. It can save a life!

ER: Because of risk of allergic reaction closing your son's airway, go to ER or your son's Primary Care a Physician immediately.
