A few ideas: At age 20 the most common reason for an irregular cycle is hormonal changes. Another reason could be endometriosis. Birth control pills can help address both of these problems. For the pain, you can also consider taking ibuprofen 600mg every 6-8 hours when the pain occurs. This is the best medication for cramping pain.
