Fermentation: The bacteria in your GI tract break down the compounds in the bread into hydrogen sulfide gas which causes the smell. Wheat products other than bread may cause the same effect. Try changing the bacterial composition of your bowel by eating natural probiotics like yogurt, sauerkraut, kimchee or kfir. It may take a week or more but it could make a big difference. Yes: What kind of bread are you eating? Bread may contain milk which has lactose. Some people are intolerant of lactose and this will cause farting. You can do without bread. Eat oatmeal for breakfast instead
