Hyperextended: You may have hyperextended your wrist if in the push up position and/or developed what is commonly known as a a repetitive strain injury (if you have been doing lots of push ups/yoga etc). Sometimes we just overuse a small joint that isn't used to it or accidentally put too much stretch in the joint - leading to inflammation in the tendons. Try icing 20 min as needed and give your wrist rest.
