A member asked:

Are sleeping aids such as zzzquil, nyquil or equates sleeping aid..and so on.. bad to regularly use?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sleep treatments: Medicines that cause us to feel sleepy prevent us from sleeping properly. They are best for the short term, such as when you have traveled, or when you are sick, and find it hard to fall asleep. For frequent trouble sleeping, there are better solutions, such as looking into something called sleep hygeine, and then looking for a cause when that does not help.
