A member asked:

Will my aorta rupture just by really high bp or must it first be damaged and weekend?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Complex: Unless you have Marfan's Syndrome, bicuspid aortic valve, or a strong family history of aortic disease, very high BP is more likely to cause encephalopathy than acute aortic dissection (tear).
