The very beginning: is marked by blackouts, or periods of time you can't remember when intoxicated. It's a slippery slope from there. The aftermath may catch up w/you years later as in memory loss, moodiness, etc. Sounds like your inner wisdom is asking you to take closer look at this. Catch it early and you will be glad you did.
