Cerebral palsy (CP): The diagnosis of CP is a complex process that requires a full history, neurological examination, and possibly imaging. The earlier CP is diagnosed correctly, the better the opportunities are to provide the child with physical and educational help. CP can be confused with other problems. See a neurologist for evaluation. http://www.ninds.nih.gov/disorders/cerebral_palsy/cerebral_palsy.htm
