No: Spotting does not cause a false positive. If you are bleeding after having a positive pregnancy test then you need to be evaluated to rule out ectopic pregnancy and miscarriage.

You are pregnant: If you are 1 week late with your regular menses and you have had 4 positive pregnancy tests, you are pregnant. Since you are having some spotting, you should see your doctor promptly.
