I have a lump on both ankles below the outer ankle bone. my ankles have felt tight recently and can be painful when i get out of bed?

Ankle swelling: There may be some swelling inside or around your ankle. Usually swelling in the ankle joint occurs under the outside of your ankle below the lateral malleolus. If its happening on both there may be something systemic happening in your system. You should see a specialist.

FATTY DEPOSITS. DJD: If the location is the same on both ankles, on the outside, it could be nothing more than fatty deposits. Does it feel firm, or more "squishy." Can you see your ankle bone?
