Heel Pain: Heel pain has a multitude of causes.. The most common is plantar fasciitis. But, it is not the only cause. Get an x-ray and see a specialist... Other causes, stress fracture, cracked heel spur, myositis, bone cysts...Etc get it checked out ....It may be an easy remedy.. See a specialist..

Plantar fasciitis: When you have inflammation of the plantar fascia or arch ligament any movement that will apply stretch or stress will cause pain. When you bend down you stretch the arch and thus cause pain at the attachment site which is the heel bone.

Many possibilities: Your pain could be as a result of many different things. A thorough history and physical exam and possibly some laboratory and radiology exams are needed to determine the exact cause. Causes of pain may include: trauma (fracture, sprain, arthritis), infection, metabolic conditions (gout), musculoskeletal or biomechanical abnormality and neurologic conditions (neuropathy).
