Not common: Papilledema during pregnancy may signal cerebral venous sinus thrombosis or idiopathic intracranial hypertension. (Pre)eclampsia can cause other neurologic deficits. Neuropathies of the cranial nerves (eg optic nerve) have also been reported as case reports.
