C4 pre work out: The main ingredient is creatine, which is not in itself harmful; it also contains caffeine and yohimbe, which can energize and promote tachycardia; other ingredients are generally safe ----- overall, is a safe product - don't overuse it or overdose - not safe then

I just purchased the pre-workout supplement "c4 extreme" and i was wondering if it has any side effects that I should be aware of? Thanks in advance.

Yes side effects: Read huffington post article about high school athletes requiring surgery for compartment syndrome. Look at ingredients of C4 extreme, if you do not understand the ingredients then avoid them. Make sure your parents aware of this supplement and ask if any family members have high blood pressure or sudden death. Please avoid taking this supplement.

Avoid use: Supplements are not regulated by the FDA, allowing unsafe products, contaminated, and ineffective products to flood our markets and harm otherwise healthy patients. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID http://www.accessdata.fda.gov/scripts/sda/sdNavigation.cfm?filter=Volcano&sortColumn=&sd=tainted_supplements_cder&page=1&displayAll=false
