Can something being wrong with your nerves cause seizures?

Nerve irritation: Seizures are caused by irritable nerve cells in your brain. There are many causes for seizures including trauma, genetics, drugs, alcoholism, etc. See your neurologist if your seizures are not well controlled. http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/003200.htm

Not really: Seizures are normally caused by things that irritate the surface of the brain, or at least cause the neurons in the surface of the brain to discharge electricity. Problems affecting the nerves in the arms and legs do not cause seizures.
