No: Antibiotics would only be indicated in the presence of a skin infection with bacteria. For eczema treatment: Start with avoidance of irritants including harsh soaps, excessive moisture, excessively hot water. Initial treatments include emollients, mild over the counter cortisone, and antihistamines. Physicians can then ramp treatment up with stronger prescriptions if needed.

Dyshidrotic eczema on hands: steroid cream + antibiotic ointment for infected blister. How long after applying these can I go to the bathroom/wash my hand(s) (only using non-infected hand)? And can I put gauze or gloves on at night after applying?
