One concern: Lip eczema can be the first warning of Stevens-Johnson syndrome / medication allergy. If you are taking some medication, even a "holistic herbal remedy", get with your physician and ask whether you should discontinue it.

Mouth preparations: Try stopping using toothpaste , mouth-wash, and lip stick for a week and see if the problem resolves. Use baking soda to brush teeth. If this helps, you may resume adding one item back at 1-week interval to see which product may be causing your problem. Although it is possible to be allergic to steroid cream, the incidence is rare.
