Probably not: It is not unusual to not have menses when on the birth control pill. Nor is it not unusual to spot after a long time of not having any bleeding. Sometimes if you take a pill late or miss a pill you will have bleeding and cramping. I would suggest that you see your doctor and get a blood pregnancy test and also request an appointment for an ultrasound evaluation

Take a pregnancy: test if it is neagative then what you have can represent premenstrual symptoms. If cramps and brown spotting persist and you do not get your period this could be an infection.
