Possibly: Tonsilloliths "stones" are prevalent in tonsils whether they can be seen or not. The tonsillar surface is irregular and bumpy with patches of lymphatic tissue. Any area that grows or bleeds, necessitates and otolaryngology (ENT) evaluation.
