Neck lump: You probably have a sebaceous cyst. You should see a dermatologist to get it drained

Have it looked at...: In New Zealand there are high skin cancer rates and it is a good rule of thumb to get most new lesions / lumps checked by your Doctor. With technology this can sometimes be done online, or remotely, using a high resolution photograph.

Lump on neck: see your doctor. It could be a sebaceous cyst as I assume that it is painless. If it is a sebaceous cyst then it is easy to excise while it is still small.
